SCM at IWF: Advanced Technology, Automation and a Stronger North American Organization to Support Customer Growth

SCM will return to IWF 2026 with a comprehensive showcase of technologies, automation solutions, software and digital services, reaffirming its long-term commitment to the North American market and its evolving manufacturing needs.

With an exhibition area spanning nearly 25,000 square feet, the Group will present one of the industry’s most extensive portfolios for woodworking manufacturers, while highlighting its ongoing investments in innovation, customer proximity and local capabilities to support companies throughout their digital and automation journey.

SCM’s North American strategy: strengthening customer proximity through people, services and innovation IWF 2026 will provide the opportunity to find out SCM’s strategic initiatives to further strengthen customer support, service capabilities and commercial coverage across North America.

As part of this strategy, SCM is reinforcing its regional organization with a new leadership structure: Marco Patriarchi taking responsibility as Regional Executive for the North American market (USA, Mexico, Canada), while Tiago Costa leading the United States market as CEO USA.

Marco Patriarchi brings extensive international experience gained in executive leadership roles in global machinery companies including Baker Hughes and General Electric, and a leadership approach grounded in long-term relationship building and a deep commitment to customer success. Throughout his career, he has consistently focused on partnering closely with clients, combining best-in-class technology, top-tier service, and a strong local presence to create lasting value.

This evolution builds on the transformation program implemented over the past eighteen months under Tiago Costa’s leadership in the United States. During this period, SCM has significantly strengthened both its service and commercial organizations through targeted investments aimed at improving responsiveness, technical coverage and customer support.

Key initiatives have included the expansion of local technical resources in strategic territories, the introduction of dedicated customer support roles for major accounts and the integration of service and spare parts operations into a more streamlined and customer-focused organization.
At the same time, SCM is reinforcing its commercial presence in high-potential areas through additional sales resources, a more targeted market development strategy and closer collaboration with its distribution network.

The Group’s strategy is to further enhance market coverage by combining the expertise and local reach of its partners with SCM’s direct capabilities, ensuring customers receive the right support and solutions throughout their growth journey.

“IWF 2026 is the ideal stage to present this new chapter for SCM in North America,” said Marco Patriarchi, CEO North America. “Our objective is to build an increasingly stronger regional organization that aims to be a true partner, standing alongside our customers every step of the way, understanding their challenges, and helping them grow through people, innovation, service excellence and proximity. Being close to our customers is what truly differentiates us,” Patriarchi added. “We listen, we adapt, and we invest in solutions that not only meet today’s needs but help our customers succeed long-term. That’s how we create value together”.

“Over the past eighteen months, we have focused on strengthening the foundations of our organization, particularly in service and customer support,” added Tiago Costa, CEO USA. “Today we are accelerating that journey through additional investments in people, technical expertise and local coverage, ensuring we remain even closer to our customers and their evolving production needs.”

The SCM Ecosystem at IWF: integrated automation and connected factoryVisitors to the SCM booth (B6953 – A9614) will discover a full lineup of automated systems, CNC machining centers, edgebanding, sanding, pressing, finishing and joinery solutions, together with a dedicated focus on timber construction as part of the Mass Timber & Pre-Fab Showcase at Hall A Booth # B6953 – A9614.

Key highlights of the exhibition will include:

SCM Lean Cell
The SCM Lean Cell is the ideal entry-level solution for manufacturers seeking high-speed nesting combined with integrated downstream operations. Designed to deliver maximum efficiency with a minimal footprint, it combines horizontal drilling, doweling, edgebanding, and intelligent sorting, all powered by robotic handling.
It starts before the first cut. The FLX Q is a compact material handling solution that keeps the cell continuously fed through a constant, autonomous feeding cadence. It stores up to four stacks of material, automatically supplying the nesting machine in hidden time, and holds enough material to run an entire shift without replenishment. The system also performs autonomous panel shuffling and sorts material according to upcoming production, eliminating unnecessary labor, reducing material handling, and optimizing cycle time from the start.
A stationary robot manages parts coming out of the nest, identifies them via QR codes, and directs them through the next processing steps, arranging organized stacks ready for a smooth flow through the edgebander.
New technologies include the morbidelli x100 nesting cnc, omal center with automatic feeding and offloading table, and a scalable vault sorting unit for production order collection and sequencing.
The result is an efficient, compact workshop with full material traceability, a balanced investment, and a seamless workflow from raw panel to finished part.

North American Premiere of Accord 500 Edge
SCM will present the North American premiere of Accord 500 Edge, its new all-round CNC machining center combining advanced machining and edgebanding technologies in a single, flexible solution. The solution has also been selected as a finalist for the IWF 2026 Challengers Distinguished Achievement Award, thanks to its ability to deliver total flexibility in one solution, integrating multiple production capabilities within a single machining center.

Designed for medium and large-sized companies, Accord 500 Edge ensures high performance and maximum flexibility. It is particularly suited for specific sectors such as contract furniture, bedrooms, boats and caravans. The CNC has also been designed to suit the requirements of customers who work on a ‘just in time’ basis, as this machine combines all the functions of a factory in a single solution.

Among its key features is the H80C “Compact” edgebanding unit, equipped with various tool changers for tools, glues, edges and pressing elements, enabling fast and reliable automatic switching between different processes. Independent operating units ensure high productivity even in limited spaces, while the extraction systems guarantee maximum cleanliness and efficiency in all working conditions.

The model is equipped with the SCM’s Maestro software suite, including the Maestro active operator interface and Maestro lab CAD/CAM programming software, designed to simplify and further improve production process management.

In addition, the new Accord 500 Edge is enhanced by Maestro lab edge, a dedicated CAD/CAM solution for the entire panel edgebanding process, enabling full management of edges and related application strategies.

Software and Digital Services

Digitalization will play a central role throughout the exhibition. SCM’s latest digital solutions simplify machine programming, improve integration with company-wide systems, and enable greater connectivity across the production environment, maximizing machine performance and uptime throughout the entire lifecycle.

Mass timber (Hall A Booth # B6953 – A9614)

SCM will also participate in the Mass Timber & Pre-Fab Showcase, presenting dedicated technologies for the high-precision machining of CLT, glulam and other mass timber structural elements. The exhibit will highlight SCM’s expertise in supporting a rapidly expanding sector that increasingly requires advanced automation, precision and process reliability to meet the demands of industrialized timber construction.
Superfici America: advanced finishing solutions (Booth B7150)

As part of SCM’s exhibition space, Superfici America will showcase a range of innovative finishing solutions designed to enhance productivity, quality, and process efficiency.
Visitors will experience live demonstrations of the Mini Plus spray system while finding out how advanced spray technology can help manufacturers achieve exceptional finishing results while maintaining operational flexibility.

The booth will serve as a hub for manufacturers seeking practical answers to today’s finishing challenges and tomorrow’s production goals.

Throughout the show, Superfici America’s sales and engineering teams will be available to discuss applications, evaluate project requirements, and provide expert guidance on finishing technologies for wood, composite, and specialty substrates. Whether planning a new finishing line or optimizing an existing process, attendees will gain direct access to the technical expertise that has made Superfici America a trusted industry partner.

Beyond equipment, Superfici America specializes in custom-engineered solutions that address the unique needs of each customer. From sophisticated fluid management systems to fully integrated mixing and material delivery platforms, the company delivers turnkey technologies that improve consistency, efficiency, and overall finishing performance.
